Abstract

PURPOSE: A residential building characterized by extremely high thermal efficiency and reduced heating cost, wherein all rooms are sufficiently and evenly heated by one simple heater such as an oil heater and solar heat is utilized as an auxiliary heating means.
CONSTITUTION: A semi-underground room C is formed directly below a building A, the side walls 24 of the room C are constructed as the foundation, a space with an adequate height is formed between the ceiling board 4 of the room C and the floor board 3 of the building A, and guide plates 5 are arranged in the form of a labyrinth to form a hot air passage 2. One end of the passage 2 is communicated with a blowing port 6 of the ceiling board 4 and the other end with exhaust ports 7 of the floor board 3 opening into the rooms, so as to distribute the hot air from a heater 1 in the room to all rooms evenly. The floor board 3' of the upper story is formed in the same way, and the hot air passage 2' is communicated with the room C through a blowing port 8.
