Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply and economically cool and ventilate without necessity of a power source by providing a moisture absorber such as zeolite on the back surface of a heat collecting plate of a collector to contact with air flowing through a vent passage which communicates indoor side with outddor side. CONSTITUTION:An air conditoner body A is engaged with a hole C opened at the wall B of a building. A collector 1 is provided at the X side of the room of the body A, and a vent passage 3 opened at both upper and lower ends is provided between the collector 1 and a back plate 2 faced with the Y side of the room. The collector 1 has a transparent plate 4 at the front surface side and a heat collecting plate 5 at the back surface side, and a moisture absorber 6 such as zeolite is mounted via a metal gauze 7 on the surface of the vent passage 3 of the plate 5. Dampers 8a, 8b are arranges on the gap between the upper and lower ends and the hole C of the body A, and both upper and lower ends of the passage 3 are provided to be switched between the Y side in the room and X side out of the room. In this manner, heating and cooling are performed by utilizing the dehydration and condensation of the absorber 6.
