Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the construction and lower the costs utilizing evaporation latent heat of water by constructing a cooler of a heat exchanger made by flat plates and corrugated plates, a blower producing two air flows and a water drop falling device. CONSTITUTION:A thin film 2 made of a non permeable to air and moisture material with a good heat conductivity and a thin sheet 3 made of a water absorptive material with a large surface area are stuck together to form a flat plate 1. Flat plates 1 and corrugated plates 4 are so laminated as to have two air flows crossing each other orthogonally to form a heat exchanger 5. Then, vanes 8 and 16 are arranged on the room side and on the outdoor side respectively while a tank 15 and a pipe 12 with holes S 14 for dropping water 13 are provided. As the outdoor side vane 16 rotates, an outdoor side air flow B enters the heat exchanger 5 to evaporate the water 13 dropped at the holes S 14 from the thin sheet 3. This deprives evaporation latent heat of the flat plate 1 to cool it whereby a room side air flow A is cooled down through the thin film 2.
