Abstract

PURPOSE: To desalt even factory waste water containing large amounts of contaminants and to obtain clarified water by conducting additionally an ozonizing treatment as a pretreatment for the reverse osmosis.
CONSTITUTION: During the pretreatment step, an ozonizing treatment unit 22 provided additionally with an ozonizer 21 and an ozone exhaust treatment unit 23 is placed between a sand filtration unit 6 and a pH-adjusting tank 7. After a flocculant is added into the waste water 1 introduced into a flocculator 3 through a storing and homogenizing tank 2 and the pH of the waste water 1 is adjusted, the waste water 1 is fed into a flocculating and precipitating unit 4 and the supernatant is fed to the filtrating unit 6. Next, the liquid passed through the filtration unit 6 is treated in the ozonizing treatment unit 22 and is thereafter treated in a pH-adjusting hypochlorous acid treatment unit which consists of the pH-adjusting tank 7 and a sodium hypochlorite supply tank 8.
