Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the treated water which has high water quality and is reusable with simple equipment and low cost by subjecting the treated water which has undergone biological treatement to cohesion and precipitation treatment then subjecting the supernatant to capillary osmosis precision filtration with a multiplicity of syphon pipes packed with capillary forming materials.
CONSTITUTION: The raw waste water supplied from conduit 1 is subjected to biological treatment in a biological treatment tank A and the treated liquid is directed via conduit 2 to a precipitation tank B. During this process, inorganic flocculants such as poly aluminum chloride from a flocculant adder 3 are added to let the suspended matter and a part of dissolved matter be cohered together with biological sludge flocs. The treated liquid having been flocculated is separated to sludge blocks and supernatant in the precipitation tank B. The separated supernatant is led from the top of the liquid level into syphon pipes 8, where it is subjected to capillary osmosis precision filtration. The filtrate is directed as clean water into a filtrate tank C. Capillary forming materials such as glass fibers or synthetic resin foams are packed in these syphon pipes 8 in such a manner that capillary tubes are formed in their length direction.
