Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain good treated water without forming colloid in the treated water by subjecting the treated liquid which is produced through anaerobic digestion treatment of night soil to centrifugal filtration and concentrator then to aerobic biological treatment in the beds stuck with living things.
CONSTITUTION: The desorbed water produced by the anaerobic digestion treatment of night soil is first introduced into a centrifugal filter and concentrator 1, where it is separated of solids, and SS are discharged as excess sludge. The filtrate is fed to the next biological sticking tank 2. Diluting water and circulation water are added to the filtrate. Oxygen is supplied by a means for aeration or the like in the tank 2, and an aerobic biological treatment is accomplished by the beds immobilized with living things. The liquid passed through the tank 2 is introduced into a settling basin 3, where solids are settled and separated. The settled solids are discharged as exess sludge, and the supernatant is taken out as treated water. Part thereof is returned as circulation water to the tank 2. It is equally well to return the treated water prior to inflow into the basin 3.
