Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure an electrostatic removal of the paper dust attached to the paper before the paper reaches a picture forming device, by securing a touch between the paper and a paper dust adsorbing roller having the electrifying charge on its surface. CONSTITUTION:The copying paper 11 is carried to the photosensitive drum 16 via the carrying roller 13. In this case, the paper 11 has a touch to the paper dust adsorbing roller 21 that is turned in the direction of the arrow (u). At the same time, the electrifying charge is provided on the surface of the roller 21 by the corona charger 22. Thus the paper 11 produces the inductive polarization due to the charge on the surface of the roller 21 when the paper 11 touches the roller 21 under carrying. Thus the paper 11 is adsorbed electrostatically to the roller 21. As a result, the paper dust can be removed from the surface of the paper 11.
