Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the waste of subfuel in an engine which is being supplied with high ignitability subfuel at the start-up time by supplying required quantuty of fuel at required time through the simple operation of a starter plunger.
CONSTITUTION: The first stage operation of a starter plunger 26 at the engine starting time opens a starter system passage 20d to complete supply route 204 for alcohol which is mainfuel thereby supplying alcohol in the first floatchamber 20b to a suction passage 20a. Pushing of the plunger 26 after the start-up closes the passage 20d and alcohol in the float chamber 20b is supplied to the engine through a pilot nozzle, main nozzle 25, etc. In a cold climate, the operation of the plunger 26 connects the alcohol supply route 204 and gasoline supply route 205 to the passage 20d to supply gasoline in the second float chamber 20c to the engine in addition to alcohol for the smooth start-up.
