Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the detection of peak value over a wide range of input signal frequency and amplitude, by connecting a monostable multivibrator to the output of an analog comparator. CONSTITUTION:An input signal is fed to an input terminal 1 of an analog comparator 2, and it is compared with a voltage of a peak voltage holding capacitor 13. The output 16 of the comparator 2 is fed to an input terminal 17 of a monostable multivibrator 3 to be a pulse with a given time width. The pulse is fed to a bias circuit of a transistor 6 consisting of resistors 4, 5, to turn on the transistor 6. Then, a constant current circuit consisting of resistors 7, 11, variable resistor 12, diode 8, constant voltage diode 9 and transistor 10, is operated to charge the peak voltage holding capacitor 13.
