Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten the required time of measurement by adding a circuit which opens the gate of an electric field intensity detector through outputting a lock detection signal when the oscillation frequency of the local oscillator of a phase-synchronous loop agrees with a target value. CONSTITUTION:The output of voltage-controlled local oscillator 5 included in phase-synchronous loop 4 is sent to frequency divider 10 and the frequency-divided by a frequency dividing ratio based upon a target frequency for channel selection. Lock detector 15 is provided which compares this frequency-divided signal with a signal from reference oscillator 11 and, at the moment their frequencies agree with each other, sends lock detection signal (d). With this signal (d), the gate of electric field intensity detector 9 is opened to detect the intensity of the electric field. Thus, the need to wait until the frequency of local oscillator 5 gets stable is eliminated and electric fields having plural radio waves can be detected successively in a short time.
