PURPOSE:To facilitate the handling of an input device and to give a memory a margin by combining ''kanji'' (Chinese character), ''hiragana'' (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) and ''katakana'' (square form of Japanese syllabary) into a phrase and by printing out it by using a printer on the dot print system. CONSTITUTION:The label printer for an electronic balance has printer 4 on the dot print system, the 1st memory 7 stored with character patterns, the 2nd memory 8 stored with key words in addresses that correspond to article name codes, the 3rd memory 9 stored with character key words as phrases, and central processor 11. Central processor 11 reads key words, supplied from input device 3, out of the 2nd and 3rd memories 8 and 9 and then reads character patterns out of the 1st memory 7 to supply them to printer 4.
