Encoded data corresponding to various character groups, Chines character, Kana (Japanese syllabary), Katakana (square form of Japanese syllabary), alphanumeric, etc. to be displayed on the dot matrix display device 53 are stored in a memory 25, a data is read out from a prescribed page of the memory 25 corresponding to said character group by operating a select key 27, is sent to a dot matrix driving circuit 24, and a prescribed character group is displayed on the display part consisting of the dot matrix display device 53 on the keyboard.
