Abstract

PURPOSE: To save fuel, by shaping a furnace substantially in a circular form, disposing fuel injection ports in the manner of injecting fuel toward the inner wall surface of the furnance and causing swirling flame flow, and thereby distributing and concentrating the flame in the furnace.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel injection means 4 are disposed along the portions of the inner wall surface of a substantially circuit furnace 1 where steps are formed, and air inlet ports 7 are formed on both of the upper and the lower sides of the fuel injection means 4. Fuel ejected from the means 4 is ignited and combusted by the aid of air supplied from the air inlet ports 7. Combustion flame thus produced is formed into swirling combustion falme which turns one or two times along the inner wall surface of the circular furnance 1. Therefore, flame and high-temperature gas are always kept in close contact with water pipes 2 extended along the inner wall surface of the furnace 1, so that the efficiency of steam generation can be raised.
