Abstract
PURPOSE: To change stably running mode by setting no-load guide vane opening of a water wheel corresponding to running head obtained from separate tests as a solenoid closing position for a governor of the water wheel.
CONSTITUTION: On the basis of the relationship between effective head of a water wheel obtained from separate tests and the opening of guide vanes is set a definite opening of no-load running guide vanes of the water wheel within the range of running head of the water wheel as a solenoid closing point for a governor. When the opening of the guide vanes is reduced lower than the set point, closing signals are sent to the solenoid for the governor. Thus, since abrupt fluctuation of power is not given to a electric system, change of running mode from generation running to pumping-up one can be carried out under a stable condition.
