Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the aging resistance property of a hot galvanized steel plate by carrying out cooling treatment after the recrystallization and annealing of a cold rolled steel plate for hot galvanization and also cooling treatment after the hot galvanization under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:A cold-rolled steel plate with 0.02-0.10% C for continuous hot galvanization is subjected to recrystallization and annealing treatments at 650 deg.C or higher for 10sec or more and then cooled by a gas to 350 deg.C at a cooling rate of 30- 60 deg.C/sec. Within a temperature range between 650 deg.C and 750 deg.C. Then, the steel plate is reheated and then dipped in a hot galvanizing bath to apply hot galvanization to both surfaces of the steel plate. Furthermore, the hot galvanized steel plate is, as needed, heated for alloying a part of zinc and steel plate. After the hot galvanization, the steel plate is cooled for 10sec to 1min within a temperature range of 400-350 deg.C and then cooled for 60sec to 10min within a temperature range of 350- 250 deg.C. The steel plate whose galvanized layer is already subjected to alloying treatment is cooled for 100sec to 10min within a temperature range of 350-250 deg.C. Thus, a hot galvanized steel plate having excellent aging resistance can be obtained.
