Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform stable control on the sulfur content of fuel blend in a short time, by means of a flow regulating valve for one fuel when two kinds of heavy oil fuels having different sulfur contents are supplied to the boiler of a steam power plant.
CONSTITUTION: The flow rate of fuel in the line A, the flow rate of total fuels, and the opening degree of valve in the line A are always put as input signals in an analog input detector, where the sulfur content of the current blend is calculated by a sulfur content calculator 2. Then, from the deviation between the current sulfur content and the target sulfur content, valve control amount for the line A is calculated in an operation amount calculator 3 and converted into output signal by an operation amount output device 4. Then, the output is sent to a flow valve driver 5, where the flow rate of fuel in the line A is altered by driving the flow valve. The change is fed back. Such operations constitute a control loop.
EFFECT: Because the sulfur content of blend becomes a function of the opening degree of the flow valve of the line A, stable control can be performed even when the flow rate of total heavy oil fuels is varied.
