Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure moisture value with little error by separating and air-sorting the impurities mixed with cereals to exclude the cause of density dapples of grains. CONSTITUTION:The sample grains running down into the carrier conduit 6 from a grain silo 32 run down into a measuring container 15 by the vibrating action of a rocking equipment 5. In the meantime the external air flows from the charging window 7 to the intake window 8 through an exhauster to air-sort the falling grains and others and the air-sorted grains flow sliding the grain flowing plate surface 9 to run down to the container 15, while the separated impurities are sucked together by the air-absorption window 8 to be discharged outside. The grains, which flow sliding on the surface of grain flowing plate, fall down colliding with the wall on the sensor 26 of the cylinder body 25 so that the nonsorted impurities are one-sidedly collected to the opposite wall part of the sensor 26 while the well-sorted grains are collected on the side of sensor 26 form a grain layer. The quantity of moisture of said grain layer is measured by the sensor 26 while the weight is measured by the balance detection unit 23 to indicate the moisture value, wherein density correction has been made according to the varying weight, on the indicator 31.
