Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having excellent impact strength and rigidity, by compounding diallyl phthalate resin, etc. with a modified block copolymer derived from a vinyl aromatic compound and a conjugated diene compound and introduced with carboxylic acid group.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A modified block copolymer obtained by adding 0.05W 20pts.wt. of a dicarboxylic acid group such as succinic acid, or its dericative such as succinic anhydride to 100pts.wt. of a block copolymer of a vinyl aromatic compound and a conjugated diene compound, pref. a copolymer of styrene and butadiene, is mixed with (B) a diallyl phthalate resin, phenolic resin, epoxy resin, urea resin, etc. The weight ratio of the component (A) to the component (B) is 1/99W80/20, pref. 5/95W30/70. When the content of the component (A) is lower than the lower limit of the above range, the impact strength improving effect becomes poor, and when it is higher than the upper limit, the rigidity of the polymer composition is lowered.
