Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain efficiently the FRP tube having few air bubbles and a high- performance while the impregnation of hardening resin is advanced in a short period of time under purging the air by a method wherein the hardening resin is bonded to and impregnated into a glass fiber layer wound around a core with a specified tension.
CONSTITUTION: The glass fibers are wound on the core with a tension of [count (Tex)×(0.09W0.5)g/one set of robing] and the hardening resin is bonded to and impregnated into the glass fiber layer on the core. The hardening resin is impregnated efficiently by capillarity under purging the air in the glass fiber layer and the FRP tube having no air bubble and a high quality may be obtained.
