Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the adhesive strength between the terminal core of a connector and a nylon core by providing microgrooves on the surface of the core coating consisting of a resin. CONSTITUTION:Groove parts 11A of a spiral or other shape are provided on the surface of a nylon core 2A, an adhesive 3 is coated on this core 3 and a terminal core 1 is inserted thereon, whereby the adhesive strength of the core and the core is increased. At time of this insertion, the air bubbles in the core 1 escape through the grooves 11A provided to the core 2A and therefore the core 2A is thoroughly inserted into the core and fixed, whereby the breakage of the optical fiber strand and microbending by shrinkage of the ahesive are eliminated and the need for microholes intended for removal of the pumping effect by the adhesive is eliminated.
