Abstract

PURPOSE:To form the light guide terminal part of easy polishing and high strength by treating the terminal of a silicone clad optical fiber by way of a terminal fitting, ring fixed by a silicone adhesive agent, etc. CONSTITUTION:A silicone adhesive agent 3 is coated on the silicone chad fiber 1 of an optical fiber and a ring 4 is inserted thereto and is bonded and fixed. Next, when an epoxy adhesive agent 6 is coated on the sheath 2 of the optical fiber and a terminal fitting 5 is fixed, and fiber 1, ring 4, sheath 2 and fitting 5 are fixed to a high strength, and the good light guide terminal part which does not cause chipping of the optical fiber even at the polishing of the end is formed.
