Abstract

PURPOSE:To control DC voltage even when input AC voltage is high by a construction wherein a rectifier is composed of a thyristor in a circuit in which the rectifier is used to convert AC current into DC current and convert the DC current into AC current with the invertor. CONSTITUTION:An input AC voltage is converted into DC current by a thyristor in a 3-phase rectifier circuit 16 and smoothed by a reactor 15 and a capacitor 14. The DC current is converted into 3-phase AC current in a 3-phase transistor bridge circuit 9 and sent to an induction motor 10. A phase controlling circuit 8 is used to control the firing angle of the thyristor in the rectifier circuit 16 by adjusting a variable resistor 8' and set the output DC current equal to that when the input is 200V even if the input AC current is higher than 200V. The volume of the output AC voltage and frequencies are also controlled by a control circuit which consists of a comparator 4, a voltage-frequency convertor 5, etc.
