Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a DC voltage from varying in such manner that the fluctuation of a reactive power output increases, when a power inverter is started, by providing a limiter for limiting a control signal to a power rectifier so that the value of said signal does not fall too much until said power inverter is started. CONSTITUTION:A power conversion main circuit is formed by an externally excited rectifier, a capacitor and a self-commutated inverter and said power inverter is started when a DC voltage reaches a given value. In this case, a current controller 1 computing a phase-control angle signal corresponding to a current value deviation and a voltage controller 2 computing a phase-control angle signal corresponding to a voltage value deviation are provided as power rectifier controllers. Said outputs are inputted to a maximum value selection circuit 3, which is then made to select an output with a larger value. Then, the output of said maximum value selection circuit 3 is limited by a limiter 32 so as not to be less than a certain value until the power inverter is started, while a power rectifier control signal 27 is outputted.
