CONSTITUTION:Indium oxide as the main component, iron oxide as the first subcomponent and one kind or more among platinum, platinum oxide, palladium, palladium oxide, as the second subcomponent; are blended at the following rate. This mixture is sintered to obtain a detecting element for combustible gas. Namely, 0.06-10wt% of the total available components as the second subcomponent (platinum and platinum oxide are expressed in terms of PtO, palladium and palladium oxide are expressed in terms of PdO) and 95-50wt% of the residual components as the main component (indium oxide is expressed in terms of In2O3) and then 5- 50wt% of the residual components as the first subcomponent (iron oxide is expressed in terms of Fe2O3).
