Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance element resistance value up to a region having practicability without degrading the outstanding characteristics of indium oxide by using samarium oxide or gadolinium oxide as an additive.
CONSTITUTION: The main component in the effective components of the combustible gas detecting element consists of indium oxide, and the subcomponent consists of at least one of samarium oxide and gadolinium oxide. The ratio of at least one of samarium oxide and gadolinium oxide occupied in the effective components (however, in calculating this, indium oxide is expressed in terms of In2O3, samarium oxide to Sm2O3 and gadolinium oxide to Gd2O3, respectively) is set at 4W50wt%.
