Abstract
PURPOSE: To comprehene the titled dry distillation condition effectively, by utilizing the relation of a carbonization time which has elapsed until a temp. of a generated gas during dry distillation reaches a max. temp. and a time which has elapsed until a methane concn. in the generated gas reaches a predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: With regard to a coke oven to be used, the relation shown by the formula [wherein Xm is a carbonization time which has elapsed until a temp. of a generated gas during dry distillation reaches a max. temp.; Yi is a carbonization time which have elapsed until a methane concn. in the generated gas reaches a specified value (i) in the final period of dry distillation αi and βi are constants determined by a structure of the coke oven and the methane concn. (i)] is preliminarily calculated. Subsequently, a temp. of gas generated during dry distillation is measured with the elapse of time to detect the max. temp. thereof and, by calculating Yi from said formula by using the Xm value, the carbonization time which has elapsed untul the methane concn. reaches (i) can be easily estimated.
