With the action of first and second gate circuits 10 and 17, a basic rate/unit rate counting circuit 19, a first comparator circuit 14 and a basic rate/unit rate selection circuit 12, a residual amount counting circuit 16 preset for a target value performs a subtraction as specified and indicates the results as residual amount with an indication circuit 20. As the electric energy and the power charge become equal to the border value, the unit rate is selected sequentially with a second comparator circuit 13. With such an arrangement, the residual amount can be indicated in the subtraction of the basic rate and the meter rate from the target value.
