Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to accurately detect the level even for a low input by using two square wave converters, which are operative to generate signals in accordance with the level an laternate input electricity, and two timers thereby to effect the direct conversion of the square waves without rectifying the input.
CONSTITUTION: A square wave converter 7 generates signals at level 1, when the level of the positive half wave of an input waveform Vi is higher than a reference level VL1, and singals at level 0 when the former is lower than the latter. A square wave converter 8 generates signals at 1, when the level of the negative half wave of the input waveform Vi is lower than reference level VL2, and signals at level 0 when the former is higher than the latter. A timer 9 judges the time, for which the output of the converter 7 generates the signals at level 1, whereas a timer 10 judges the time, for which the converter 8 generates the signals at level 1. By judging the time for which the outputs of the both timers 9 and 10 are the signals at level 0, it is possible to accurately detect the level even for a low input without responding to the high frequency input higher than a preset frequency.
