Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable ions to be analyzed continuously by beforehand removing org. matter prior to supplying the sample of an aqueous soln. to be analyzed to an ion- exchange chromatograph analyzer. CONSTITUTION:A liquid feed pump 3 is driven to supply a sample 1 into an adsorption tower 4. While the sample 1 flows among the resin 6 in the tower 4, only the org. matter contained in the sample 1 is adsorbed and removed by the resins 6. The sample 1 which does not contain org. matter is conducted from the tower 4 to an ion-exchange chromatograph analyzer 5, by which the ions in the sample 1 are analyzed. For example, a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer is used for the resins 6. Since no org. matter enters the analyzer 5 in this way, the sticking of org. matter in the analyzing column of the analyzer 5 does not occur and the deterioration of the analyzing column is prevented.
