Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance capacity of mass exchange or the like by a method wherein a metal material such as phosphorus bronze is molded into a shape of the assembling element and, subsequently, the resulting molded material is entered into a furnace and sintered therein to form an oxide film on a surface thereof and, thereby, a gas- liquid contact area is increased. CONSTITUTION:The assembling element of the mass exchange tower is prepared through a process for molding said metal material such as phosphorus bronze into a shape of the assembling element and a process for entering the resulting molded material into said furnace and sintering therein to form said oxide film on a surface thereof. The obtained assembling element is excellent wettability against a liquid and, therefore, the gas-liquid contact area thereof can be increased. Therefore, the capacity of the mass exchange tower in which said assembling element is assembled can be enhanced to a large extent.
