Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the bearing part of the input/output shaft of a clutch device from any thrust load by providing an adjusting device with pushes an operational lever to act on a clutch push plate when the clutch is engaged and operates the other operational lever in engagement with the output shaft at its one end toward the opposite direction.
CONSTITUTION: In the friction clutch mechanism 39 of a wet type multi-plate clutch 1, No.1 operational lever 79 is fitted to the input shaft 27 in such a manner that is can rotate and slide freely, where the lever 79 shall be in contact with a clutch push plate 67 which is to push a clutch plate 41 and a friction plate 47 against a fixed ring shaped member 51. In this operational lever 79, No.2 operational lever 81 is fitted, being in engagement with the base end of the output shaft 45 at its one end in such a manner that it can rotate freely. A thrust load adjusting device 83 is provided at the other ends of these operational levers 79, 81 so that the two levers 79, 81 are pushed in the opposite directions to each other by the action of pistons 89, 91 when the working fluid is introduced into the cylinder chamber 95 through a supply port 113 and inward/outward passage 109.
