Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the disengagement of a clutch by providing fitting part of a clutch hub to a pressure plate with communicating bores that can not be communicative with each other when the clutch is disengaged so that feeding of a lubricating oil to clutch plates and friction plates is cut off.
CONSTITUTION: During a clutch 100 in operation, a pressure plate 50 is in the shown position, and communicating bores 24a and 54a arranged respectively in fitting portions 24 and 54 of a clutch hub 20 and the pressure plate 50 are communicated with each other. Accordingly the lubricating oil fed into an oil chamber 60 from a through bore 14 of an output shaft 10 can run outside of the fitting part 54 due to the centrifugal force. The lubricating oil can flow through oil bores 21a to clutch plates 22 to cool and lubricate the plates 22 and friction plates 32. If the clutch 100 is relieved, the plate 50 is moved to the right to cut off the communication between the communication bores 24a and 54a. Thus the disengagement of the clutch can be smoothly effected without causing dragging due to lubricating oil.
