Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the force required for turning a product such as engine block, in such an arrangement that the product rotates around the rotation axis of a rotary member with its right and left sides clamped. CONSTITUTION:In the condition that a product W is fitted to a jig and clamped by clamps 19, 20, parts such as clamp shaft are installed on the top of the product W and a bolt is set at the given place. A bolt clamper is pulled down and started after alignment with the bolt. If the operator releases his hand off the this condition, the bolt clamper will finish screwing with a certain fastening torque and is lifted up automatically. When a pawl 27 is released from engagement with the engaging groove 24 by operating an external operation lever 29, the product begins to rotate automatically owing to shift of the center of gravity caused by the installation of part on the product. When this rotation reaches 90 deg., the pawl 27 is put back into the engaging groove 24 with the aid of the force of spring 28 to stop the product, and a flywheel etc. is installed on another surface facing upward.
