Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a speed governor easy to handle, with a reaction force not applied to an adjusting lever, by such consturction that a spring load may be not directly applied to the adjusting lever.
CONSTITUTION: An adjusting lever 11 and another end of a floating lever 8 are linked through an intermediate lever 22. In a linkage part of the both levers 8, 22, a relateive position of those levers is normally set to a constant location, simultaneously with an elastic mechanism 20, 21 arranged to be installed capable of varying a relative position of those levers if applied a rotating torque from the floating lever 8. With an arm 13 installed to the floating lever 8, a cam substance 6a is provided in one unit to or so as to work in an interlocking motion with a tension lever 6, and its cam face is made facing to the arm 13 when the engine is in operation. In addition, when the engine is stopped with a start spring 16 turning to rotate the floating lever 8, an auxiliary spring 17 is provided for relocating the cam substance 6a away from a turn range of the arm 13.
