Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve a cooling characteristic by a method wherein a heat exchanger is arranged between a pump and a dispersion means. CONSTITUTION:Heat exchanger 13 connected between the pump 7 and the dispersion means 8 cools the liquid coolant 5 with air or water. When the winding 2 is energized, both the winding 2 and the iron core 3 are heated. When the pump 7 is driven, the liquid coolant accumulated in the sump 6 is transmitted to the dispersion means 8 through the heat exchanger 12. Overcooled liquid coolant 5 is dispersed onto the winding 2 and the iron core 3 from the dispersion means 8 as fine drips. A part of the liquid coolant 5 dispersed from the dispersion means 8 is evaporated. Remaining part thereof is dropped onto the bottom of the tank 1 under the liquid phase.
