Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the oxidation and breakage of a filament to happen by lighting a luminous tube using a starting means from the outside after a bimetal switch becomes open through heating of the outer tube during an exhaustion of an outer tube. CONSTITUTION:A luminous tube 2, bimetal switch 3, and tungsten filamemt 4 are assembled in an outer tube 1, and the exhaust pipe is connected to a vacuum pump and the inside of the outer tube is exhaused. The outer tube 1 is heated after the exhaustion is continued for a prescribed period. The temperature in the outer tube is increased through the heating, and the inside surface of the outer tube 1, the mount member, and the bimetal 3 are degassed. The bimetal 3 becomes open through the heating, the luminous tube 2 is lighted using a pulse generator 30 provided outside. Thus the oxidation and deformation of a filament are prevented because of no heating in an atmosphere of an inpure gas.
