Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a supply of intake air having a predetermined density suitable for the start of an engine of a relatively high temperature by supplying a starting LPG to an intake passage through a port opened at a position downstream of a throttle valve when the throttle valve opens more widely than a predetermined small opening degree.
CONSTITUTION: When the engine is started at a temperature higher than a predetermined valve, a bimetal 24 is deformed in a reversed condition opposite to that shown in the drawing. A valve element 25 closes a valve port 26 and opens another valve port 27. In this state a starter switch 34 is closed for cranking. At the same time as an initial explosion, an accelerator pedal is operated to open the throttle valve 4 slightly so as to start the engine. In this instance, because of a low viscosity of a lubricant, the cranking speed is very high compared with the case of the engine starting at a relatively low temperature, so that a high intake negative pressure is produced. Therefore the LPG suction rate is likely to increase, but as the port 26 is closed whereas the port 27 is opened, an amount of LPG appropriate for the particular engine starting condition is supplied via a regulator 6.
