Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a recording film of the subject which can record by means of the laser irradiation of small power output by laminating an electrode layer, a light absorbing layer which shows negative resistance changes in relation to temperature rise and an electrode layer in sequence on a base film. CONSTITUTION:On a base film 6, an electrode layer 10 is coated, and on it, a light absorbing layer 9 which shows resistance changes negative to temperature rise, for example, a thermosoftening substance including Ag2S, Ag2S-CuS series, (CuAg) (ZnCdHg)(BrI) series, vanadium oxides, carbon black is coated, and further on it, an electrode layer 8 is coated. Of the electrode layers 10 and 8, the layer to which laser is irradiated must be a transparent conductive layer of tin oxides, indium oxides, etc. When laser beams are irradiated to a recording part with a voltage applied to the two electrodes 8 and 10, the temperature of that part of the light absorbing layer 9 rises, whereby its resistance drops increasing a current through it, and the light absorbing material 9 is melted or vaporized by Joule's heat and the record is made.
