Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the stable quality of treated water and decrease the using quantity of regenerating chemicals in movable floor type ion-exchange equipment by detecting and calculating the quantity of water feed to the water feed tank, the conductivity of raw water and the silica value of treated water.
CONSTITUTION: Raw water brough in water feed tank 1 of ion-exchange equipment, especially movable floor/mixing floor type equipment, pushed up the resin layer inside the tank with upward flow to make a bed. Water and resin which have completed ion-exchange flow from the top of the tank respectively and are carried with pressure to separator 5 together with raw water. The regenerated resin is made flow into tank 1 from its top to fill the tank with the resin. The resin inside tank 5 is separated into cation and anion exchanged resin by separation water and regenerated by regenerative chemicals in respective regeneration tanks 10 and 11. At the time, arithmetic unit 23 calculates the quantity of regeneration chemicals to be injected into tanks 10 and 11 on the basis of signals of the conductivity of raw water and the quantity of processed water outputted from conductor 21 and flow meter 22. Then the arithmetic unit corrects the calculated value mentioned above with the difference between the silica value and time interval signals outputted from silica meter 24 and controls the operation of the equipment.
