Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform always correct operation in an electronic apparatus which carries out power-off processing between a master CPU and a slave CPU by controlling the power-off processing of the apparatus with the slave CPU by the instruction from the master CPU. CONSTITUTION:When a power off signal P-OFF is sent into a master CPU1, a command is sent from the master CPU to a slave CPU2. In the slave CPU2, whether a printer is under controlling or not is decided. If the printer is not under controlling, the processing corresponding to the command is executed. If the printer is under controlling, processing for checking whether P-OFF command or not is accomplished. If not the P-OFF command, the return processing to the original routine is executed and if the P-OFF command, the slave CPU2 executes the P-OFF processing, thereby resetting the solenoids and the like of the printer and controlling these to stop the operation thereof.
