CONSTITUTION:The FM composite video signal obtained from rotary head 1 is amplified by preamplifier 2 and is demodulated by FM demodulator 3 and is supplied to output circuit 5 through LPF4. The signal amplified by preamplifier 2 is supplied to band amplifier 9, and the carrier frequency corresponding to the level at the leading edge of the synchronizing signal of a prescribed fixed frequency and the frequency near this carrier frequency are separated and are given to level detector 10. Detector 10 detects the level of the part corresponding to the synchronizing signal of the FM reproducing signal and applies this level as the track slippage detection signal of the level corresponding to track slippage to a prescribed tracking servo-circuit through switch 11.
