Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an extremely-stable synchronizing signal by obtaining an output turning to a frequency corresponding to the synchronizing signal peak level of a video signal from a reproduced FM signal and then by detecting a synchronizing signal by detection the envelope of the output.
CONSTITUTION: Reproduced RF signal (a) obtained by passing an RF signal from video head 2 through reproducing RF amplifier 3 is supplied to tuning amplifier 17. Since this amplifier 17 has its tuning point at an FM frequency corresponding to the peak level of a synchronizing signal in a video signal, it generates an output of RF signal (e) with its peak at the synchronizing signal part. This output E is adjusted to constant amplitude by limiter 18, amplified by turning amplifier 19 with the same frequency as amplifier 17, and detected by envelope detection circuit 20. Synchronizing signal SYNC2 is obtained from this circuit 20. Since this synchronizing signal passes through two amplifiers 17 and 19, it becomes extremely stable. Further, the output of amplifier 3 is FM-demodulated 8 through dropout compensation circuit DOC and synchronously separated 16 to obtain synchronizing signal SYNC1, but respective synchronizing signals can be extracted by change-over circuit 5.
