Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the operability, by detecting the presence of an external video signal with a detection circuit and automatically switching the broadcast video signal and audio signal into external video and audio signals. CONSTITUTION:An electronic switch circuit 16 which switches a broadcast signal 3 and an audio signal 4 obtained through the reception of a TV broadcast into external video signal 6 and an audio signal 7 from an external signal source 5 such as a video tape recorder VTR electronically, is provided. A detection circuit 15 makes peak detection output controls a variable gain amplifier to keep the amplitude of the external video signal 6 constant, and the circuit 16 is switch-controlled with the detected output of the circuit 15, allowing to switch the circuit 16 to the external video signal 6 and audio signal 7 only when the external video signal 6 is present.
