Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect an identifying signal without fail even at a fixed speed traveling time and a high speed traveling time by constituting the titled device of an identifying signal demodulating means to demodulate an identifying signal block recorded between music and an identifying signal detecting means to detect the demodulated identifying signal block. CONSTITUTION:In order to separate the sound signal of the music which is recorded to a magnetic tape 31 and the identifying signal, a reproducing clock signal 33 is retrieved from a signal which is recorded to the magnetic tape 31. When the reproducing clock signal 33 is detected, next, the reproducing of a synchronizing signal 34 is executed by the reproducing clock signal 33 and whether the signal 34 is coincident with a specified pattern or not is investigated. Then, the separation of the sound signal and the identifying signal is executed. When the sound signal and the identifying signal can be separated, next, the identifying signal is reproduced by the reproducing clock signal 33 samely as the synchronizing signal 34 and the identifying signal can be detected without fail. Thus, the band pass filter of high accuracy is not needed to separate the sound signal and the identifying signal and the separation of the sound signal and the identifying signal is executed with using the reproducing clock signal and the synchronizing signal. Then, the identifying signal can be detected both at the fixed speed traveling time and the high speed traveling time.
