Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove a vibration noise except for a knock signal and carry out appropriate ignition time control depending on the occurrence of knocking, by using the base signal of an ignition power transistor to trigger an ignition noise mask signal.
CONSTITUTION: A knock mask timing generation circuit NMT is composed of resistors R98WR105, capacitors C23, C25, diodes D1WD3 and transistors T1WT3. The base current of a power transistor is entered into the resistor R98 to take out a negative surge through a diode D1 to protect the transistor T1. External noises on power lines are removed by the capacitor C25. An output is delayed by the resistor R102 connected in series with the capacitor C23, thereby eliminating a chatter.
