Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the characteristic and productivity of the rotor by die-casting a copper alloy containing Zn, Cr, Zr and Ti under a specific condition to obtain a conductor. CONSTITUTION:A copper alloy containing a member selected from the group consisting of about 0.1-5% of Zn, about 0.05-0.42% of Cr, about 0.08-0.57% of Zr, and about 0.07-0.3% of Ti is held at about 1,200 deg.C and subjected to die casting by a ring testing metal mold thereby obtaining a conductor which has almost no cracks. Accordingly, by die-casting the copper alloy thus formed, rotors of low loss and high mechanical strength can be mass-produced with good productivity.
