Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the deformation of the frame and to improve the cooling efficiency by forming a cooling water passage beside the track housing between the frame and a plate attached to the frame.
CONSTITUTION: The flange 15 of a plate 11 is fixed to the periphery of a concavity 10 of trapezoid section formed on the frame 1 with a sealing piece 16 between the flange and the surface of the frame 1. A longitudinal partition 18 is provided on the inner surface of the plate 11 opposite to the surface of the frame 1 with the upper edge of the partition 18 close to the surface of the frame 1. The front and rear ends of the partition 18 is cut off to form a U-shaped flow passage 12 between the concavity 10 and the plate 11. The cooling liquid supplied from the radiator enters the heat exchanger 9 from an inlet 21 and flows through the U-shaped flow passage 12 and radiates heat through the plate 11. The plate provides efficient cooling effect as the plate 11 is always cooled by the snow kicked up by the track and at the same time, protects the frame from stones kicked up by the track.
