Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily construct a ruggedness in the plate surface, and make the promotion of improvement for the characteristics of high rate discharge and life, by using a paste, to which a dispersion of fluorine resin is added in addition to lead active powder, sulfuric acid and water. CONSTITUTION:A paste, with a dispersion of fluorine resin included in addition to lead powder active material, sulfuric acid and water, is applied and coated onto the electrode support unit, and a ruggedness is provided on surfaces of the applied layer. For the fluorine resin to be added to the above described paste, it is preferable to use a polytetrafluoroethylene, and its addition quantity must be preferred less than 2wt% of the lead powder active material. And further by adding a hydrophilic high molecular compound, for instance, polyethylene oxide and the like in a quantity of less than 1.5wt% of lead powder active material, a filling effectiveness of the paste to the lattice and the characteristic of high rate discharge can be improved.
