Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a cathode structure in excellent precision to be able to maintain the interval between electron radiant material and first grid electrode in a desired size by providing a means which can adjust the interval of the electron radiant material on one side of filament supports.
CONSTITUTION: An insulating substrate 12 has a pair of filament supports 14, 15 held at a desired interval which are pierced and planted opposite to each other. A filament 16 is tensely installed over these supports 14, 15, in this case, one end of the filament 16 is fixed on the rod shaped support 14, the other end is fixed through a spring 17 located on a notch 13 onto the cylindrical support 15, the proximate part of this other end abuts on the tip of an adjustable rod 18 positioned inside the filament support 15. And the filament 16 has a substrate metal plate 19 fixed almost at its center, electron radiant material 20 is coated up on the substrate metal plate 19. This facilitates to obtain a cathode structure in excellent precision with less variations in cut-off of the electronic tube characteristics.
