Abstract

PURPOSE: To permeate a gas selectively to a high degree even in the low content of chemicals by a method wherein water-soluble high molecular substance containing a moisture absorbent, etc. is impregnated to a member obained by mixing glass fiber and cellulose fiber as the moisture-permeable gas shielding material of an air- conditioning apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: Glass fibered paper obtained by mixing glass fiber of not more than 5μm in diameter and cellulose fiber of hemp, a paper mulberry, etc. with long fibers is used as a fibrous, porous member. Gas shielding is produced in such a manner that a water solution, which contains a moisture absorbent, such as, lithium chloride, etc., a flame retarder, such as, guanidine chloride, etc. as necessary and water-soluble high molecular substance, such as, polyvinyl alcohol, etc., is impregnated to the mixing-and-paper-manufacturing paper so that the rate of the mixing and paper-manufacturing of glass fiber be 10W90wt%. The shielding has high, selective permeability for gas and incombustibility even when its content of chemicals is low.
